Bolton boutique to reopen nearly a year after car crash devastation
Pretty Little Closet, on Tonge Moor Road, suffered extensive damage when a car crashed into the building in November 2024, leaving owner Lisa Openshaw “devastated” and “unable to recover.”
After nearly a year out of business, the boutique has undergone a £100,000 refurbishment and will reopen its doors on Saturday, November 1, at 11am.

The relaunch event will include Prosecco, prizes, and exclusive vouchers for customers.
Originally scheduled to reopen in September, the relaunch had to be postponed due to unforeseen complications.
Now, with just days’ notice, Lisa says she is thrilled to finally welcome customers back.

Lisa told The Bolton News: “I got the phone call over the weekend that I can finally open, so I’m working as hard as I can to get everything ready for the big day.
“After nearly a year out of work, I can finally open my doors to my lovely customers, old and new, and get back to a normal life.
“It’s been a tough road to get here, but we’re finally ready to welcome everyone back and start a brand new chapter.
“Thank you for sticking with us and for supporting local, we can’t wait to see you all!”
Lisa was pregnant at the time of the crash, which occurred just a few weeks after the store first opened.

She described the upcoming reopening as a “new beginning.”
She added: “It feels like forever that I’ve waited for this moment.
“I can’t wait to be serving all my lovely customers again and getting back to normality.
“This place is my heart and soul, and I can’t wait to get it going again.
“Everyone’s been so supportive, people have said they’re delighted we’re reopening. We’re hoping this new store will be bigger and better than before.”
Pretty Little Closet’s reopening marks a fresh start for Lisa and her boutique, and a celebration of resilience, community spirit, and determination to rebuild.
