Rubber boats spotted near terror launch pads, patrolling intensified

Security forces have intensified patrolling along the Line of Control (LoC) and International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir after rubber boats were spotted near terror launch pads.

As per input by intelligence agencies, small rubber boats have been spotted at launch pads near the LoC and IB.

Following the input, security forces have been asked to strengthen patrolling around small water bodies.

To foil any infiltration attempt, sources in the intelligence agencies have identified 13 small water bodies near the International Border in Akhnoor, Samba and Kathua in Jammu division.

Meanwhile, Gurej sector is on high alert. As per another input, security forces have been warned that terrorists may use the Krishna Ghati river for infiltration.

In 2011, terrorists had attempted infiltration through water bodies but the bid was foiled.

Earlier, Border Security Force (BSF) and Indian Coast Guard had been put on high alert along the Gujarat borders after intel inputs revealed that Pakistan Navy-trained terrorists and commandos were trying to enter the Gulf of Kutch in small boats.

Intelligence agencies had warned the border forces that Pakistan-trained commandos and terrorists were trying to enter the Gulf of Kutch and Sir Creek area in small boats.
