Two people struck by vehicle in crosswalk are expected to be ok, Raleigh police investigate

Two people hit by a car in Raleigh are expected to be ok.

Police were called at 9:30 p.m. on Friday to the
intersection of Oberlin Road and Clark Avenue.

When they arrived, they said they found a man, and a woman
had been hit in the crosswalk by a vehicle. They were taken to the hospital
with non-life-threatening injuries.   

The WRAL Breaking News Tracker was on the scene and saw a vehicle with its windshield completely shattered.

Police said the driver stayed on the scene and told officers
they did not see the two people.

Police do not believe impairment was a factor.

The investigation is still ongoing.
