‘Drug driving, rubbish dumping, football banning’: Five cases heard by magistrates

Rubbish
A man was ordered to pay more than £700 after leaving rubbish behind in Bolton.
David Rutter, 33, was proved in absence at Bolton Magistrates Court of leaving a bag of domestic waste at the rear of Buckley Lane.
This was on April 2 last year.
Rutter, of Florence Street, Eccles, was ordered to pay a total of £753.
Licence and insurance
A man was fined after driving without a proper licence or insurance.
Aqib Hussain, 27, was proven by single justice procedure at Manchester Magistrates Court of driving a VW Fox on Chorley New Road without insurance on July 27 last year.
That same day he had driven without a proper licence.
Hussain, of Carslake Avenue, Bolton was ordered to pay a total of £1044.
Drug driving
A man was banned from driving after drug driving.
Mehdi Banaie, 37, admitted to Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court that he had driven on Trinity Way, Bolton with above the legal limit of cannabis in his blood on June 5 last year.
He also admitted to possession of cannabis on the same day.
Banaie, of Mersey Drive, Whitefield, was banned from driving for 12 months and fined at total of £180.
He was also ordered to pay costs of £85 and a surcharge of £72.
Magistrates also ordered that the cannabis be seized and destroyed.
Football banning order
A man was given a football banning order after assaulting a police officer.
Lewis Jackson, 20, indicated a guilty to plea to Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court to assaulting an emergency worker on April 20 last year.
He was given a three year football banning order forbidding him from going within a mile of any football stadium in the UK while Bolton Wanderers are playing there.
It also bans him from attending any designated football fixture.
Jackson, of Christchurch Lane, Bolton was also fined £400 and ordered to pay £100 compensation with £85 costs.
Community order
A man was fined after failing to comply with his community order.
Magid Azim, 48, admitted to Manchester Magistrates Court that he had failed to attend a planned appointment at Bolton Probation Office on October 2 last year.
He had also failed to attend a planned telephone contact on October 22.
These were part of a community order made by Bolton Magistrates Court on September 10 last year.
Azim, of Green Lane, Bolton, was ordered to pay a total of £140.
