Dangerous driving, harassment and assault: 5 Bolton criminals in court

Driving dangerously and failing to stop
Jeremy Enagbonma, aged 19, drove a Ford Focus dangerously on Seymour Road in Astley Bridge on July 9 this year.
Enagbonma, of Capitol Close, Smithills, pleaded guilty to failing to stop and driving without insurance, and indicated guilty to to dangerous driving on October 15, at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court.
He was brought before Tameside Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, November 12, to be sentenced for his offending.
Enagbonma was disqualified from driving for 14 months, given 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days and 100 hours of unpaid work.
He also has to pay £85 costs and a £114 surcharge.
Theft from a shop
Sajjid Latif, aged 51, stole £89.85 worth of Head and Shoulders shampoo from a Home Bargains store in Bolton on June 21 this year.
Latif, of Swinside Road, Breightmet, pleaded guilty to the offence on October 6 at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’.
He then pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to the court on October 29, which he pleaded guilty to at Manchester Magistrates’ on Wednesday.
On the same day, he was ordered to pay £89.85 compensation and an £80 fine for the theft, with no separate penalty for failing to surrender.
Actual bodily harm
Carrie Ollerton, aged 24, assaulted a person on November 16 last year in Bolton, with cocaine in her possession.
Ollerton, of Lindisfarne Place, off Crompton Way, indicated guilty to possession of a class A drug and actual bodily harm on October 15 at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’.

She was sentenced at Tameside Magistrates’ on November 12, being ordered to do 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days and 150 hours of unpaid work.
Ollerton was also ordered to pay £500 compensation to the victim, and the forfeiture and destruction of the cocaine was ordered.
Harassment
Daniel Bostock, aged 38, harassed an individual between May 1 and August 13 this year, making unwanted phone calls and attending the victim’s address.
Bostock, of Hughes Street, Halliwell, pleaded guilty to harassment without violence at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ on August 21.
Sentencing at the same court on Wednesday, magistrates ordered him to undertake an alcohol treatment order, with 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days.
A restraining order was also imposed upon him, in relation to the victim, and he was ordered to pay £85 costs.
Cannabis possession
Leamdro Meireles, aged 28, had a quantity of cannabis in his possession in Bolton on June 26 this year.
Meireles, of Bank Street, pleaded guilty to the offence at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ on Wednesday.
Magistrates ordered for the forfeiture and destruction of the cannabis, as well as for the defendant to pay a £133 fine.
He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £53 surcharge.
