Bolton: Cases dealt with by magistrates courts

Magistrates have penalised people from the town for a variety of offences including including motoring ones and breaching a football banning order.

Michael Cotterill drove a Volkswagen on Seddon Street, Little Hulton, with excess alcohol in his system in January this year.

The 41-year-old was breathalysed and found to have 43 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.

Cotterill, of Green Lane, Great Lever, admitted the offence at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court.

He was banned from the roads for three years and fined £120.

Andrew Bruce drove a Vauxhall on the M62 at Wakefield while disqualified and with no insurance.

The 34-year-old carried out the two offences in January this year.

He admitted both matters at Leeds Magistrates’ Court.

Bruce, of Church Street, Little Lever, was placed on a community order to last for a year.

He was ordered to do 200 hours of unpaid work and banned from the roads for six months.

Yanick Ngango drove a Renault Megane on Lincoln Road, Heaton, without a licence or insurance in May last year.

The 22-year-old admitted the two offences at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court.

Ngango, of Varley Road, Daubhill, was given six points on his licence and fined £369.

Andrew Goodram interfered with a Renault Kadjar on Danesway Court, Halliwell, in December last year.

The 43-year-old had the intention or stealing the vehicle, part of it or items inside it.

The offence took place in February this year.

Goodram, of Torrington Avenue, Halliwell, admitted the offence at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court.

He was fined £120.

Oliver Halliwell breached the terms of a football banning order in August last year.

The 21-year-old was required to hand over his passport when Manchester City were playing away at Sevilla. However he failed to do.

He admitted the offence at Bolton Magistrates’ Court.

Halliwell, of Higher Dunscar, Egerton, was fined £100.
