Bolton: Police investigation into serious sexual assault
Greater Manchester Police received a report that a female had been seriously sexually assaulted by a man who had earlier pulled up next to her in a car on Manchester Road, at around 10.20-10.30pm on Thursday, 8 June 2023.
The incident is believed to have happened on the stretch of the road between Four Ends Lane and Chequer Bent roundabout.
Investigators are now asking for anyone who was in the area and may have dashcam footage of the incident – or otherwise witnessed something from around that time – to please come forward.
Detective Inspector Sarah Bell, from GMP’s Bolton district, said: “This is obviously a very distressing incident and we always take reports of this nature very seriously.
“We are urging anyone with any information to please get in touch with us – particularly anyone who drove down Manchester Road between the relevant times and may have footage.”
“We are in contact with the victim and providing her with the support she needs.”
