NAKHON RATCHASIMA – Police were called to arrest a man who was acting weirdly in a school yard after earlier drinking pig’s blood and beer, in Khon Buri district.

The incident occurred in tambon Tabaekban about 4pm on Friday. The school’s name was withheld by police,

Patrol police were called to the school by people who said a man had entered the school grounds and was walking around, acting weirdly, just as students were about to leave for the day.

The intruder was identified as Winai Prakatam, 39, from Sawang Weerawong district of Ubon Ratchathani. He had a 20-centimetre-long knife tucked into his belt, according to police.

Investigators said the man had earlier gone to a house in Ban Thep Nimit of tambon Tabaekban about 3am that day. He took a bottle of pig’s blood from an ice box and drank it. The houseowner discovered the man’s presence, recorded his appearance and left after seeing him holding a long knife.

About 4.26am the same man went to the house of village chief Kinna Yodnakhonjong. The house was also a grocery store, but it was locked. The stranger checked the beer bottles left outside the store, drank the leftovers and left with a bottle.

He was next seen at the school on Friday afternoon.
